Welcome!This zine is focused on people who have never been in a physical project. Zines are a great way to create together and it's always such an amazing feeling to hold something in your hands that you helped to make, sadly not everyone in fandom is afforded this feeling and that's why News Coo Zines is running a physical zine for those who have never been in one!We want to make zines more accessible for everyone as we all start somewhere and deserve to be part of something.

Hopefully we can answer all your questions here!Why do I have to apply? Aren’t all NewsCoo projects sign-ups?
Usually, they are but since this will be a physical project we will have restrictions on how many people we can take. If this project goes well we will try and run one again after so we can give this chance to more people!How will I be compensated?
This project isn’t for profit. This zine’s funding will focus on being able to give every single contributor a free full bundle and to cover costs. If there is a profit at the end of the project then the funds will be split between everyone. Compensation isn't a guarantee.How old do I need to be to apply?
At least 18 years of age.Do I have to use Discord?
Yes!How many people will you be accepting this time?

There will be a section in the DIGITAL-only copy.Will this project be safe for work?
Yes! Canon-typical violence and curses will be allowed though.Will there be DEAD DOVE content?

Anyone is welcome to apply. If you’ve been creating for years or weeks we invite everyone to apply! We just ask for writers to have good storytelling, a basic understanding of grammar and spelling, and for artists, we are looking for good composition, colors, and artistic sense.Can I use AI?
All AI is banned from this project and anyone with AI in their portfolio will be rejected.Will I be judged on the content I create outside of this space?

About
As we have said, we want to give people a chance to get into a project that will be printed. To help people get into fandom spaces and be part of something. To see their work printed. If people have never managed to get their art into merch, we can help with that. We aim to be an environment that can help and support.We had many people vote for the theme in the interest check and ‘beginnings’ was the most brought-up answer. It could be the start of a journey, the start of a friendship, relationship, or family. Everyone's interpretation of ‘beginning’ ‘new start’ ‘beginner’ will be accepted.Examples: ASL beginning their brotherhood. Toki and Oden beginning their family. Nami getting into creating maps. It’s a wide theme that is different for everyone.

To create a fic with max wordcount of 2kAll artists will have a chance to create an additional piece of art to go with each writer's fanfic.
Rules
+No joke applications [Just to see if you will get accepted, only want to apply as a joke]+No drama. If you are known for harassment or anti-pro shipper discourse or have anything in your profile that is disrespectful to others, such as ‘pro shitters’ ‘kys’ . You will not be accepted. Having a DNI is not the same thing.+We are a ship-and-let-ship environment but not every zine will allow shipping, we will have general themes too. We also will have designated sections in the server for such content for you to avoid.+ Everyone who signs up needs to be at least 18 years of age.+There will be no homophobia, racism, politics, transphobia or other such talk permitted in our projects or our servers.+ There will be no drama allowed in any project and mods have the right to remove people from the project at any time.
